Handicare 1100 error codes

Sometimes you just want to know what that code means on the side of your stairlift. It might not even an fault. It could just mean flag something you can easily sort out yourself. In some cases there’s no need for an engineers home visit at all.

In the table below we explain the stairlift error codes shown by the Handicare 1100 model of straight stairlifts and possible remedies.

You may have mis-placed the manual, but what do the codes mean on your stairlift?

3Top limit switch is active – If the lift is at the top of the travel then this is normal, if it is anywhere else on the track the could indicate a fault with the sensorNormal/Error
4Top safe edge is activated – Clear obstruction on the up side travel of the lift and try againError
5Bottom limit switch is active – If the lift is at the top of the travel then this is normal, if it is anywhere else on the track the could indicate a fault with the sensorError
