Stiltz Homelift Error Lights Faults Explained

Stiltz Control Panel and error lights

Has your Stiltz lift stopped? Don’t know why? Flashing lights in the cabin? Most error codes are quick and easy to rectify. Here Anglian Lifts presents a definitive guide to all those error codes, fault lights and beeps that a Stiltz Home Lift could throw at you.

What do the Stiltz cabin buttons do?

Stilts Lift Red Button

The big red button is the emergency stop. Activating this will stop the lift immediately and activate an alarm. To re-activate the lift you will need to:

  • Turn the red switch in a clockwise direction. The alarm will stop.
  • Use the key to turn the lift off and then back on again.

The other Stiltz Lift controls

These are self explanatory: Up / down/ Mid-level (if applicable). All controls are ‘push to run’ which means the lift will only travel whilst the button is pressed.

What do the Stiltz error lights mean?

The cabin control panel displays the Stiltz lift error codes. Each Stiltz error light on the cabin controls are explained in the picture below.

However, there are various sequences of lights that could indicate further issues. These are explained in the table below.

How do I restart a Stiltz Home Lift?

If the Stiltz lift remains inoperable after following all of the instructions then you can try to ‘re-start’ the lift. Turn the key switch to the off position and then turn it back to on. The control unit will then perform a check of all the electrical circuits and reset them if necessary. This is usually all that is required in order to reset the lift and restore normal operation.

If the lift has tripped an RCD socket (Residual Current Device) then the trip may also need a push button reset (if the RCD has a raised button) prior to being operable.

If the lift will still not operate correctly after resetting with the key, then please call an authorised Stiltz service technician.

Don’t forget the Stiltz has a built in phone

Just below the control panel is a little compartment. Pull the front down and inside is a mobile telephone that is battery operated. If you have a SIM card inserted then you can use it just as any other mobile phone. Even without a SIM card you can still call the emergency services if it should actually come to it.
